Genesis Energy is proud to be the principal sponsor of the Green RIG and support the important work Horizon’s Regional Council is doing to educate the community about biodiversity, sustainable land management practices and water quality/quantity. Genesis Energy recognises the Green RIG as an innovative project, creating an interactive learning environment not only for school students but also the wider community. The messages about environment management are central to the way Genesis Energy manages its own operations and assets.
Genesis Energy has also created three unique school programmes that teach and support young people and their wider communities as they learn about climate change, energy and the environment. Tree People, Schoolgen and ElectroCity are all part of Genesis Energy’s Hello Tomorrow Programme – our way of making a difference in communities as well as tackling the issues of climate change and sustainability.
